I'm surprised the 10 yr old doesn't know. Kids learn that stuff pretty young these days. I'd say most kids are 7-8 at the oldest before they know.

Trust me I know, I love the kid but he has been completely sheltered.
To be honest the Santa thing is the least of it, I could go on and on. Love him to death but the real world is going to be a wake up.
