I dont understand as a society we spend so much money on wrapping only to just rip it apart. especially for an infant or child under 2

Are you retarded?

The magic of Christmas morning doesn't last very long as it is. The excitement of the kids running downstairs, seeing the presents lined under the tree. Before long though they are ripping into them and have them all opened. Now imagine they instantly see waht everything is, no curiosity of what could be in there, that moment is 1/4th the time it previously was with no wrapped presents.
