We have identical girls. They are now 13. The first few months were rough. Now I’m chasing boys away from them. Keep them on a schedule and if one wakes up for a bottle wake the other one up. We stuck to a strict routine and it worked for us. We never let them sleep in our room either. We did keep their hospital bands on their ankles for a while. Scared we would mix them up and now we joke about it. That we may have mixed them up once or twice as babies and they might have the other ones name. I would get as much help as possible from family in the beginning. And yes as others have said, the wife will tell you plenty of times that you are not doing enough. Congrats and good luck!
Another thing, don’t hold or feed the same one Everytime. We did this and I feel like it took years for the one my wife held each time to warm up to me. The one I held and fed is attached to my hip. But now they both enjoy hanging out with dad and doing things. Just because you are having girls doesn’t mean they won’t fish and hunt or play ball. My two play travel Fastpitch and fish and hunt. It’s a blast.
