I just keep going back to our ancestors. I know that if they knew a berry or mushroom was poisonous they damn sure wouldn't boil it down, take the juice, and inject it under their skin for funsies.
They may have tried it for syphilis, but the first time someone's dick fell off and their nuts shriveled up like raisins they'd probably stop.

according to some posters in this thread, if it made them "feel beautiful" they sure the shite would have.
