It’s much worse than turkey and it’s not close.
I had one cooked for a Christmas. It was cooked properly. Dry. Barely any meat when compared to a turkey. Movies have romanticized it.
A brined and roasted turkey is tough to beat
Edit to say we aren’t taking about speckle bellied goose breast but whatever goose one can buy at a grocery store around this time of year.

Not really. It's good when done well, but I imagine "roasted turkey" would be on very few "last meal" lists.
