Let's be honest about what "da Joe Brady Offense" was

Pretty simple.
Three NFL caliber WR's.
-Jefferson could get open against anyone out of the slot
-Chase could outrun and out jump every DB in the country
-Marshall's length and high point skills made him a redzone nightmare.
Oh, okay D, so you're gonna double team?
-CEH is a prototype NFL pass catching back, and more than good enough to run between the tackles.
-Thad Moss couldn't be guarded by LB's when safeties helped with our big 3 WR's.
-OL was playing elite that year, and were on the same page with...
The greatest, mot accurate QB in the history of CFB
-Joe Burrow knew his WR's were dogs and were more athletic than everyone. He understood where mismatches were and made you pay. Even when teams made adjustments, they simply couldn't double everyone.
All of this + tempo when said mismatch was found. Joe was an assassin in a high speed offense and would throttle those mismatches all game long.
The point?
We don't need an OC who purports to be capable of reinventing the wheel. We had a perfect storm that was exploited beautifully. Lousiana has that talent in state and LSU goes and gets it out of state when it needs to. And when you get a few classes of WR's like we have in the stable right now, plus good QB and OL play-- you know what the result looks like.
I'm not vouching for Peetz to be retained. I think he was super slow in getting the right plays in and making adjustments this season. There's going to be a melt on this board no matter who the next OC is simply because they won't be the biggest name on everyones radar. I just think that's totally unjustified and that we have good days ahead of us with this young group of skill players + a great OL haul this week + three QBs that have high ceilings. A competent hire will do.
Enjoy the ride.

Joe Brady wasn’t the OC and it wasn’t “his” offense

The obvious reasons are obvious but the kicker was having a guy like Thad Moss who could line up out wide, in the slot, 3rd surface tight end, flexed tight end. Most teams have different subs for those alignments, allowing defense to sub accordingly and also know your tendencies. Moss staying on the field for all of it was a personnel nightmare for defenses trying to play to tendencies

People keep saying stuff like this when our offense has significant issues the last 2 years.
Is Joe Brady to only good OC out there? No
Is he a good OC? Yes
Does the OC matter? OF frickING COURSE
How do you forget that after 1 good season on offense?

It’s amazing that formula never worked before

Joe Brady and Thad Moss were the only notable personnel differences between 2018 and 2019. We were definitely stacked, but do we still win it all with only Steve Ensminger calling only Steve Ensminger plays? I don’t get the fetish some people have to minimize Brady’s contributions to 2019. It’s not just wrong, it’s weird, too.

Everyone now agrees that Ed Orgeron’s a moron. No need to discuss him or his coaches going forward. As more time goes by, it’s obvious it was the players, which is who should get most of the credit for 2019.

Right. It was a team led by two top 10 NFL receivers and a top 10 to 15 NFL QB. Plus all the other nfl talent.
