Whose fault is this? Texas is off the national grid and has its own grid and electric reliability council. Biden and Harris didn't orchestrate that debacle, nor were they even players.

So you think the national grid, with the discouragement of natural gas and coal as sources for power, will be ready for their dream of everyone charging their vehicles?

My point wasn't to say they're the same grid. My point was that there would be complete grid overload if their dream comes true.

Maybe my comparison was piss poor. Let's use the usual summer rolling blackouts in California instead. Now THAT tells us we're ready for all those charging stations!

The stupidest thing ever. 3 years ago, when a peak day pricing event was called, it was on hot days between 2-5pm. Now it's 6-9pm because everyone goes home and plugs in their cars. We didn't have rolling blackouts until EVs became ubiquitous.

I did my part, when Kia sent me a marketing survey after I bought my new minivan, they wanted to know if I would still buy it if it were offered as hybrid or electric only. NOPE.
