“Yeah but corruption” isn’t a great argument for or against the hypothesis of an idea. Sure, once you agree on the efficacy of an idea, at its purest, you can discuss corruption.

Damn. - how old are you??

you sound like a starry eyed university student who has never witnessed the destruction caused by ill-conceived 'do-good' ideas.

God damn this is a frustrating conversation lol.

Starry eyed? What the frick are you talking about?

I’m the most anti-government spending person here. Government spending OF ANY KIND is rife with corruption and waste and, in my opinion should be eliminated as often as possible . OK, good, now that we have that out of the way…

We are discussing methods of government spending and the effects, WHEN APPLIED PROPERLY, of that spending.

Look i get it. All government spending can be ineffective and wasteful. Including wall building, police budgets, public school systems, roads, prisons, the military, health inspectors, politician salaries, national parks, public health, social security……ill go all day. Given the choice i would eliminate almost all of this.

But if we are going to give one product of spending the benefit of the doubt and argue for its efficacy (i.e. building a walll) then we have to do the same for the other options.

I’m for a wall. I’m for wholesale solutions to the MASSIVE problem that is mass illegal immigration of low skilled, workers who send their money out of the country, have welfare dependent children, cause crime and dont assimilate into American Culture.

Border security, elimination of American welfare, the reversal of birthright citizenship, stricter immigration laws…these are all things I highly support. These all help to address the immigration side of the problem. But to act like we shouldn’t also look to address the EMIGRATION side of the problem is only hurting OUR COUNTRY.
