Raymond was a great coach but didn’t make LSU DBU

It started with Saban and then Cooper solidified it under Miles. Raymond did a great job to keep it going, and will be missed.

That said, there are many great to good DB coaches out there and two are currently still on staff including former NFL DB coach Jones.

You also have other options with similar clout like Terry Joseph as options and with connections to LSU and Louisiana.

I know everybody is trying to pump some sunshine on this shitty news... But Raymond leaving is a loss for us

Corey Raymond news pretty crazy. Lateral move to a program that is in completely disaster status.

However, I was randomly looking him up the other day since he’s always the guy that fans never want to lose when the staff turns over. Dudes like 50 years old. I know he’s been with the team and he’s been solid for a while. DBs played well, good recruiter. But I never realized he was this old dude.

50 years old, never even sniffed a DC opportunity. Seemed weird to me. I’d have been happy to keep him because LSU has had great DBs while he was here, but I’m also fine with Kelly bringing in some fresh blood
