It’s basically given to every kid that is a piece of shite (not only them). And when they do something that confirms that they are a piece of shite, the school can’t discipline them for being a piece of shite.

Example: a kid might have an IEP for being obstinate defiant. Then when he’s obstinate defiant in the class, he can’t be suspended for it because it’s part of his IEP.

That’s probably a little inaccurate. But it’s the gist.

Also Individualized Education Plan is for special needs kids, such as Downs. But even if my son with Downs did that in class (he knows better!) it would be a MAJOR problem as far as I’m concerned! There’s NO excuse for this to be allowed.

The IEP is part of the Americans With Disabilities. It was used to mainstream students, many of which should have been. But in typical fashion the extremes in society have used it as a way to normalize behavior. Back in the day the workaround was it required them to be in “their least restrictive environment” and the BS wasn’t tolerated and the student with a hearing problem benefited, the student with a leaning disability benefited, but the completely disruptive student was still excluded. The bleeding hearts and screaming mouths couldn’t leave it alone. They had to screw it up like they do everything.
