At the end of the day teams still have to win. An LSU team that is 6-6 for 5 years isn't going to get the national money that a consistent winner in the Big 10 or PAC 12. Those winning teams have play at the best time, have the best TV slots, get the most national press. 6-6 teams go to bowl games that they play before Christmas. If anything, this is going to drive up the price for winning coaches.

Saban and Kirby are both on record as saying there is no other way to get to the top without the elite players
