Weed control plan

I'm trying to get a grip on the weeds in my St Aug yard. I used the PictureThis app to ID some weeds.
My original plan was to grab some Celcius from SiteOne but i think i'll need more than just that.
Current weeds identified:
Nut Grass
Horseherb
Kyllinga
Mock Strawberry
Matted Sandmat
None are crazy or taking over, but i want to get rid of them.

Look into Certainty, Sedgehammer, or Dismiss for the sedges and kyllinga.

Celsius Xtra should take of all those and more
Perfect. I was planning on grabbing some. They have it in stock at one of the ones near me.

What’s the reviews on Celsius xtra? I thought I remembered seeing when it came out that it had less of the chemical by volume?
I’m due for a new bottle but was just going to get Celsius wg again becuase I have an almost full bottle of sedgehammer.
Note: I treated with sedgehammer on 7/27/21 and I am just now starting to see sedges coming back. 2 year treatment, not bad!

Matted sandmat=spurge. That was gonna have a lot of people going wtf are you talking about.
Celsius xtr is legit. I’ve got a bottle.

As ronk said Celsius Xtra is legit, and he’d know better than me, but like you I have nearly a full bottle of Sedgehammer but just about out of “regular” Celsius (after 5 years on the current bottle) so I’ll also be buying Celsius as well.
But for a person who currently has neither Celsius or Sedgehammer, at the house, and has a sedge and broadleaf weed issue, like the OP, Celsius Xtra would be a good choice.

The celsius should be used with a surfactant right? Any recommended brand or type?
Posted on 6/7/23 at 3:56 pm to billjamin
Tractor supply has one they sell by the galon, or the one they sell on amazon. shite, i've used dish soap in a pinch. I don't think it's that important as long as you have one to make is stick.

Yes - I’ve used the Hi-Yield Spreader/Sticker for years which is commonly carried by most retail garden centers and hardware stores locally, and you can buy it in smaller bottles than 1 gallon, but my last last surfactant purchase was 1 gallon of what ever brand Site One carries - about $25 or so?, which reminds me I need to buy some more I’m just about out.

Is it more practical (less expensive) to purchase Celsius XTRA, or buy the regular Celsius and a sedge herbicide separately?
Posted on 6/8/23 at 3:22 pm to BayooBandit
It's about the same. What it does though is it doesn't require you to remember and mix two separate herbicides.

Here’s what I come up with. Note, this assumes one sedgehammer application per year. I’ve broken it down into cost per 1000sf per year and also listed 15,000/year as a reference. Xtra is about 50% more per year.
C-xtra: $190/10oz=$19/oz x 0.34oz/ksf/year max=$6.42/ksf/year
C-wg: $143/10oz=$14.30/oz x 0.17oz/ksf/year max=$2.43/ksf/year
+
SHammer: $73/37.7g=$1.93/g x 0.9g/ksf=$1.74/ksf/year
Celsius Xtra will cost you $6.46/year per 1,000sf or $96.90/year per 15,000sf of treatment.
Celsius WH + Sedghammer will cost you $4.17/year per 1,000sf or $62.55/year per 15,000Sf.
