Delta faucet cartridge

Cant remove the mother, any suggestions? Thought it would slide out but seems that corrosion and calcium has a hold on it....

You can’t grab it with some Vice grips?
Might also try some CLR or some vinegar to loosen the gunk up.

Are you using the cartridge removal tool? Or just like pliers ?
