Parking in Garden District for Wearin of the Green parade

Used to have two houses to park at until the owners sold. What's the best option for parking in the Garden District before the roads shut down?

I'm used to parking at a place where I was guaranteed a spot for several years and that's all I knew. Wanted to see if there were any other details I wasn't aware of.

Ask your wife’s boyfriend. He probably has good advice on how to find a parking spot on city streets.
