The band plays down towards the bottom of the hill closer to the stadium so you’d hear them around there the best

You're not by chance an educator or legislator, are you?

I remember 15 years ago how easy it was to get a spot on the road across from the stadium. Today, you have to get there 120 minutes early and even still you find people camped out in lawn chairs along the route.

Nope. I know they go down Victory Hill. I asked where is the BEST place to watch. Perhaps it was wrong to assume one would understand I'm asking specifically where is the best place to position oneself for anyone that is in the know.

You could use some education though.

My favorite is the grassy area at the journalism building.

The band March?

My routine was to be by the Indian Mounds, then jump in behind the band and horse police and walk down the hill. It’s pretty awesome watching from behind and hearing the roars, and then walking down the hill afterwards.

If you want to be near the band when they stop and blast out pre-game/hold that tiger, I've always had the best success on the stadium side about as far up as the Northeast corner gates, up to about Center North of the North side.

Depends on what you like. If you want to see pretty much the whole thing you’ll want to be somewhere at the top of the hill…it is awesome to see that sea of Tiger fans surrounding the players and band.

Another thing some people like is to post up near the bottom of the hill where the band stops to play. I believe I remember that the players turn off the the locker room first though, so if seeing the players is what is important to you don’t get too far down.

Personally, I like to be somewhere in the middle…the band will play those 4 notes before they come over the crest of the hill and it is awesome!

The whole thing is quite a spectacle for a Tiger fan, but be warned, it is crowded as hell and there is quite a bit of dead time in between the cheerleaders, the band, and the players.

right at bottom of hill. The band plays right there. The players pretty much have their headphones on and don't give any eye contact but it's still cool to see them walk down.
