Anyone one if he has lost any weight? 247 has him listed at 6.2 356lbs. He surely is going to need to drop some of those pounds and his injury/surgery last year did not help the cause.

We will get updated heights and weights when camp begins. There is no telling where those numbers on 247 came from. That number might be what LSU released at the beginning of last year.

LSU released updated player weights when they returned earlier this month. Kardell is down to 326 lbs.!

Exactly, LSU regularly updates the roster including heights and weights. Now it may or not be 100% correct, but they seem to be,

He ran in the sand pits all spring and lifted weights — He’s up to the mark

Who would have thought that this kid wouldn’t be starting until his 3rd year on campus? That’s exactly what it seems is going to happen because all reports have Bradford way ahead of Kardell for the RG spot and he still has to contend with Shanahan and possibly Hines if he loses the C battle.

Thomas was rated high because of his athleticism. He was a big guy with agility that could run fast.
He played in a small classification and could easily dominate,
But he needed to shape up, get stronger, and better coaching.
The injury hurt him, but he’s not really that far behind now.

I recall seeing some updates on him in here a few months back where he was looking great and that was close to the end of the 2019 regular season after surgery. He seemed to grasp that he needed to adjust his body type a good deal and attack it like a man committed. Hoping so. I remember watching run on the Lab 4 x 100 when his weight was higher and was impressed.

Based on his recruiting/red shirt year Kardell Thomas is an extremely hard worker, I feel confident if the staff tells him to lose weight he will do just that.

To be determined but one hell of a problem to have!

Mike D seemed to imply that one of those OL is way bigger than he is listed. I did not hear clearly, but I think he might have been talking Bradford or Thomas at right guard.
