I'll say it again....all LSU had to do was split with both UGA and Bama and they'd prob be in the tourney with all the quality wins they had. Losing to Vandy hurt too.

Just enough wins over quality teams to get our hopes up of NCAA. But not a bad season at all for Coach Wade after he was picked to finish dead last in the SEC!

No doubt, it's amazing the schedule that was put together, I know Maui was planned years in advance-but Wade knows how to schedule out of conference in Nov/Dec. Really did a great job putting us in position going into SEC play.

it was 2015, Caesar's Palace, NCSU- it was LSU +2, of course I had $100 on LSU, lost by 1, still covered, was still pissed

Everybody needs to go to Vegas for March Madness one time. It's mostly a bunch of Big 10 d-bags walking around in Jersey's..but still a helluva time watching the games

Yea I wish I could remember the idiot who argued with me that SFA was not a good team. We should have won that game but they definitely weren't a bad team.

oh hell no, last year they won maybe 2 games in the NCAA Tournament and seem to go to the Tournament every year. It's really smart scheduling them in Dec.

One key that’s never brought up when we talk about this team is all of the injuries and other off court issues. The month and leading up to the season opener every transfer was injured, then we had Epps and Onwosaur our for the first few games, Waters rolled his ankle the Tuesday before Maui, then Sampson’s injury, then we lose Combs for the season. Plus we had Kiir hurt the entire time he was on the team, Reath was banged up for a spell, Edwards and Rachal missed games due to injury and we had the suspensions and dismissals of Sims, Kiir, Alexander and Rachal. That’s the most injuries and other issues we’ve had since I can remember and we still had a good year. If we have the norm in those respects we get into the dance without question and with the way Wade talked about Combs just having him may have changed things. He was a rebounder that brought some toughness and depth to the front line. Considering all of that it just adds to what Wade accomplished this season.

SFA is a good team, but at the end of the day, a school like LSU shouldn't be losing to SFA.

LSU should have won that game, I agree. To act like it was the equivalent of losing to Troy in football was just ridiculous, however. At any rate, SFA has a very good basketball team and it was not an embarrassing loss as some portrayed it to be. It happens in basketball and baseball pretty frequently on a national scale. Mid majors field very good teams capable of being very very competitive with larger schools.

Just couldn't pull off enough wins away from home.

Pathetic that you are bragging about LSU losing a close game to SFA at home. LSU losing to SFA with the money and recruiting base should never ever happen. That choke job cost LSU a shot of going to the NCAA tourney. Insted now LSU fans are burning couches in the streets because they beat ULL at home in the 1st round of the freaking NIT. Absolute joke. Maybe we should have a freaking parade if LSU makes it to the 2nd round of the NIT.

Losing to SFA was absolutely a bad loss. They finished 3rd place in a horrible conference during the regular season. Winning their conference tournament then losing by double digits in the ncaa tournament does not change my opinion of them.

Sfa was 18-15 last year. Some of you people really have no idea what you are talking about.

They were beating the 3 seed at half and with under five minutes left to go in the game. Tech needed to go on an awesome run to close out the game and win it. SFA easily proved that they were pretty good. The two losses they had to SEC teams (Mizzou and State) were by a combined 6 points.

Well shite then, what are we waiting for lets print the shirts. "We almost beat a decent SFA team at home that for a while played a close game in the NCAA tournament, but lost in the 1st round (if not for an amazing run by Tech"). 2018 LifeChamps!
