I would like to give a word of thanks to the Tiger fans at the game in Starkville yesterday. I wasn’t in the LSU section and from my perspective it looked like we had 20% to 25% of the stadium.

I was proud!

Lots of Tigers in attendance. Way more than I expected.

I've never been to Starkvegas. Moo State and Mizzou are the only SEC campuses I've never visited. What kind of seats do they give visiting fans?

Apparently Texas got pissed that Bama stuck their band and the majority of their fans in the nose bleed sections at Bryant-Denny. I hate the Gumps, but I say bravo to their AD for returning the favor. Texas did the same thing to Bama last year that they did to us in 2019. I hope that Scott Woodward remembers, even though the truth is that the visiting school decides how to distribute the tickets they receive. Texas could've chosen to give lower bowl seats to their band and stick some of their fat cat donors in the upper deck, but they didn't. At least Bama gave them some lower bowl seats. Texas didn't give us any at all in 2019.

Scott Woodward won't be able to send the Texas band upstairs because the next time they come, it will be a SEC game and the conference dictates where the visiting band & fans sit.

Starkville is a nice country town. Lots of good golf in the area. Some good places to eat. It’s not a huge party town. The folks; for the most part, are really nice

Lower section at the end of their horseshoe. When I went, my tickets were on about the 15 yd line or so (away from their student section). I thought they were great seats.

Really enjoyed my MSU trip. State fans were all nice and have virtually zero expectations. If anything it’s a little depressing. Did have one guy try to talk shite about baseball.

I was under the impression that the SEC only mandates that 5K tickets are allotted to the visiting school, and that about 1.5K of those must be in the lower deck. Can they actually dictate who sits where?

Texas currently gives no lower bowl seats to visiting fans in DKR. That will have to change in 2024.

Ms state gives visitor tickets that are better than most….primarily a couple of whole sections on the 10-20 yard line in the lower bowl….the Tiger band sits there too. Of course, they are in the sun, but everyone was in the sun yesterday.

Pleased to see a lot of Tiger fans in the cotton district after the game hanging out with Ms St fans, too.

Let me clarify...

Scott Woodward won't be able to send the Texas band to the upper deck...

But if the Texas AD wants to send them up there, that's a different story. Those are their tickets to distribute or sell how they please.
