After last nights game, one of the all time greats, an instant classic and hopefully just another page in a book where LSU brings home a championship, I got to thinking how awesome it is to be an LSU fan?
I’m fifty and have been blessed to experience so many great LSU moments, national championships and spectacular performances but the most spectacular moment I can remember came in a loss to cal state Fullerton in the 1992 regional! It wasn’t even about the performance or the score board. The Tigers were eliminated and it wasn’t even close (11-0), but the fans stayed and defiantly chanted LSU, and we’ll be back!
At 20 I didn’t appreciate it as much as winning, at 50 it stands out as something unique and unprecedented. 30 years later we’re still at it, packing the stadiums and breaking Jell-O shot records. LSU baseball fans are the best in all of sports!

meh it’s just a sports message board with hundreds of chicken littles that gives you that impression. Every team has a sports message board full of them. LSU just has more thanks to this awesome site Chicken built.

I know a few locals from Omaha and they will go to their grave proclaiming Omaha is not the same without LSU being in the house. Their kids became instant LSU fans once we broke the ceiling in the 90s.
I am in my 50s as well and this has been one hell of a ride watching LSU sports climb to the top.
