CFP Rankings

So I know that the rankings are suppose to be released tonight, but last week before they were officially announced I had googled LSU Football and it showed they were ranked 6th and when the rankings came out they were 6th.
Fast forward to today and if you google USC Football it shows them to be ranked 5th and CBS is reporting them as ranked 5th. Just curious if this is something that has always happened or if they just early reporting...

I might be wrong but I think that the CFP rankings have mirrored the AP for the top teams the last couple of weeks. Maybe that's what you saw?

You're looking at the AP poll rankings. No one knows what we will be tonight, except that it will either be 5th or 6th.

Nahh.. Reese Davis and crew do not even find out until we do. You're probably reading projections.
But USC probably will (and should) jump us tonight.

My bet is 5th this week. If both us and USC win they will jump us next week though

They will be ranked higher than us. Who cares we’ve got two games to win.
