Just wondering why people feel that JD5 can’t improve just like Joeys Bs stats improved tremendously , People on this board wanted Burrow gone after his first season with a New Coach, New WR group, New playbook, JD going through the same thing , At the pace he is on he will have had a better first season at the helm then Joey B.
Now before you get your panties in a bunch , I’m comparing 2018 JB to 2022 JD.
Seems like whenever those two names are mentioned in the same post people react like we are comparing current JD5 to National champion /Super Bowl runner up Joey B
The point is , Joey Bs First season was way below average , He worked his but off to elevate hisself into present day Joey B, Why do people think JD5 can’t do the sAme ? As of now he’s doing it Quicker! If his Ceiling is only 80% of what Joey B’s ceiling was we may compete for the Natty next season!

People forget or just don't know what a train wreck this program was in the Spring and the unbelievable job CBK has done to stabilize the ship. It's been impressive. Most of these kids were unfamiliar with each other, the coaches and the playbook/game itself. It took time but now we are seeing the progression as a team. JD will be fine but as soon as he has a hiccup, people will lose their shite again.

There is a difference in expectations from a transfer who is an experienced starter vs a transfer who never played. I expected Daniel's to transition to the starting role easier and have better stats his first season than Burrow had in his first season. He is more experienced and he had seen live game action.
So it's not a fair comparison and more cherry picking. Daniels has the rest of the season to show what type of player he is.

Burrow was a gamer in 2018. Daniels is also a gusty player who just needs to get more time under his belt in this system
I think the bottom line is most people had realistic expectations coming in but as the bumps in the road occur we all get emotional and say some stupid shite out of frustration bc we are fans.

You can't just look at stats to judge a performance.
If you recall, LSU's receivers suffered from the drops back then the likes few teams have ever seen.
His completion percentage should have been in the mid-60s easy. Yes, there were that many drops - 4+ per game if I recall correctly. It was abysmal.

Burrow’s 2019 season spoiled LSU fans. Once you’ve seen the pinnacle of college football quarterback play, it’s tough to adjust to something that is better described as “adequate”
That’s what we got from Daniels through the Tennessee game. Last 2 games has been good to excellent. Here’s hoping he continues to improve.

I wish some guys could quit throwing Joe Burrow chips out in comparison for JD5 and let the kid be his own person. Styles and upside definitely different for both of these cats.
For now, I'm enjoying the progress JD5 is making for us and the victories his play style is bringing us. Dude's never gonna be a Joe Burrow, but the best JD5 will still be a pretty damn good Tiger QB.
