The best player in college baseball.

I know it's two different types of slides but I immediately thought of the ending of the first Major League movie, when Willie Mays Hayes slid into home.

Glove 100% touches his shirt before his hand touches the base. Does that make him out?
Posted on 5/27/22 at 12:14 am to TigrrrDad
It 100% does not touch his shirt before he tags the plate. He therefore is safe. The rules of baseball aren’t that hard to understand.

If you slow mo the video, his shirt 100% moves precisely with the movement of the glove. The shirt doesn’t ruffle from the drag of the slide, it moves precisely with the glove movement. Fact. Still a nice slide.

I was the jersey.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m glad the ref botched the call.

Ok bud. You’re completely wrong, but sure.

I think what you are seeing is the strings on his glove. Re watch it. Those aren't wrinkles in the jersey.

Go replay the video and move the cursor back and forth in slo mo and watch the ruffling of the shirt and the movement of the glove. I defy any honest person to tell me that wasn’t contact. The jersey moves exactly as the glove moves. Fact.

No it didn’t. It’s clear as day on the first angle behind the plate that his hand hit before the glove moves in on the jersey. Screenshot the video and slow it down for yourself.
He was safe.

I'm honestly telling you, it's the strings on his glove, and why they coincide with the movement of said glove.

Compare the angle behind the plate to the angle you’re referencing. The glove isn’t near the shirt when his hand hits the plate. He slides into the glove when he’s already well past home with his hand.
How you do not see that is beyond me.
