For me, it's Fudge. He is averaging around 5pts/ 5rebs in 16 min of play. If he can extend his minutes and average another 4pts/ 2 rebs a game to his average, the team will be more successful. Good news is he's getting better every trip out on the court. Would be good to see him develop his game to be a better drive and finish at the goal player.

Also would like to see Reid get into double figures on rebounds.

Making open shots and keeping teams off the glass on defense. Our defense is the elite of the elite, we’ve played a variety of tough offensive teams and shut them all down. We’re going to create a ton of easy looks because we’re great at forcing live all turnovers and we crash the offensive glass hard. But the ultimate key to our success is going to be hitting open threes on offense and securing rebounds on D. We’re actually not a terrible three point shooting team at home, we hit at about 35% from deep in the PMAC. We’ve been abysmal on the road though, shooting a paltry 21% in games away from home. And our defensive rebounding isn’t nearly as bad as it has been, but it’s starting to slip a little bit. If we can shore up these two areas we might be a NC contender IMO.

I think Brandon Murray needs to be more aggressive on offense. He was a high percentage shooter in HS. If he develops into a shooting threat, that will fill the one hole this team has.

Need Days, Pinson and Murray to start hitting outside shots. Days and Pinson have been reliable 3pt threats for 3 years but are currently slumping, we just need them to get back to their norms. Pinson also has to become better in the half court at seeing the floor and getting the ball to open guys off the pick and roll. If he does we’ll have better starts and won’t get into these early holes we’ve been getting into.

Pinson is actually 6 of his last 11, so he's been more than fine the last 3 games....but yeah, Days needs to get back to what he shot last year 40%.

Yes Pinson looks to be coming out of it a little bit. I think moving to PG he wasn’t sure where the looks would come from and took some I’ll advised 3s early but now he’s finding his spots better and looks more confident when he shoots. I think the same thing is effecting Murray, he’s a freshman and is kind of figuring out the speed and space for his openings but the stroke is there so I think he’ll come around. Days started taking a lot of bad shots but lately he’s been better on shot selection so they should start to fall again for him. They’ve all had some good games but we haven’t had 2 or all of them hitting at the same time but hopefully it’s coming.

Total off reb 139, total def reb 323. I agree it's been slipping some the last few games. It just hurts a little when one of our guys throws up a 3 and there's maybe one tiger under the basket working for a rebound. Conversely, grabbing that many def reb keeps our opponents from scoring too.

Pinson and Days from outside, and Eason doing what he does and taking over games, and we will be fine. They just need to get in rhythm!

I think you’re right, we have to remember most of this roster is new and there’s a period of getting comfortable playing together. Shot selection is usually last to come around with this and though they haven’t been falling the last 2-3 games the shot selection has improved and if it continues we should see the percentages increase.

He’s not too far off. His last 5 games have been tough. This team does so much better when he shoots well.

If they can sustain this defense, they will be in every game. If they're in any game, it will come down to clutch buckets (and rebounding) - we need to find the clutch guys. Right now, in the clutch, I think you have to go to Eason and let him create...but teams will figure that out so we'll need to find who can rip it from outside in the clutch. We're also going to need free throw shooting.

Post 1.. Laugh now... I didn't want to have to do this...

Am I the only one who sees the glaring weakness? I love this team, and coach. YES, we can run.. D up, Press.. BUT we have NO HALF COURT O...no motion, no dump down.. NOTHING...At best we can pass it around and chunk up the best 3... I've seen better half court in grade school...

Easy answer is 3 point shooting. I'm looking for Reid to develop some assertiveness. He's a unique talent just gotta find the footing.

Lol love posters who have no idea what they’re watching. LSU never freelances, they run sets 95+% of the time and since Wade has been here have the most efficient offense in the SEC. News flash, the only teams who run HS flex and motion score in the 50s, the shot clock in college basketball has been reduced and the game has changed. Jesus you people are ignorant.
