Will any BCS conference take Boise?

I can't imagine why anyone would (outside of the Big East). What if they all of a sudden suck at football? Would they offer anything at all to the conference? They would be one of the biggest deadweight BCS schools in the country if that happened. They aren't going to stay good forever.

If the Big 12 gets desperate enough or the PAC-12 decides to add 4 more teams, they will get a call.

They wouldn't be at the top of my list though because other than football they contribute nothing.

There would be zero reason to take Boise. Conferences do not exactly use the the fact that "a team is good at football" to decide what teams to bring in.

Boise is a today thing. You will see a huge drop off in them once Moore finally gets out of there and if CCP leaves, they are done.

Nobody would really want them

Football might be the only sport they're good at but it's also the only sport that matters. Even men's basketball doesn't matter. Syracuse is a basketball school, but it was their crummy football program that dragged it to the ACC. And I don't see anyone trying to woo Kansas away from the Big 12 despite their storied, blue-blooded basketball program.

That's not what people in this thread are saying. They're saying, yes Boise is good at football. But even football-wise, that's all they bring. Being good. No money, no fans, no market. What happens once they're not good anymore?

It's their miniscule TV market that's holding them back. That's why no one wants them. If Boise had a Chicago-size TV market and a crappy team, the PAC-12 would have probably invited them already, despite their academics. Even raising their academics to the level of Stanford won't help them in that respect. Otherwise, the Big 12 would have invited Rice and the SEC would have invited Tulane by now.

just put a contingency clause out there. you have to win 1/2 of your conference games or you're gone, Boise.

Does anyone know whether Boise State travels well? Did they represent well at their Fiesta Bowl appearances. When Hawaii was in the Sugar Bowl, those folks traveled from the Island en masse and stayed in New Orleans for two weeks.

if they suck at football they will be dumped.

Temple sucked at football and the Big east kicked them out.

Ga Tech ran away from the SEC, due to losing.

Tulane ran away from the SEC, due to losing.

Do not worry about boise. If they fall from greatness when they actually have to play teams in the top 50 nearly every game, they will be dealt with.
