well that's true.

which in the future, this expansion crap may be the undoing of coll fb.

the most successful conference is the SEC and we have markets like starkvegas, oxford, fayet-nam, etc.

the main thing that makes it go is the rabid fandom. we fill stadiums, we travel, we buy merch, we watch games on tv. etc

I heard from a reliable source, Paul Finebaum, that the SEC said thanks for asking...but your TV market is too small...so GTFO.

other than academics and a once-in-a-blue-moon showing in non-revenue sports, what good is Vandy for brah

last time I checked, I didn't want to earn TAF points to watch JL ace his calc exam.

People under rate the academics at WVU but they have a fine taxidermy department there. One of the very best.

It's not the fine taxidermy department that is holding them back. It's that WV sells beer in the stadium. If Slime let one member do it then all members will want to sell beer in their stadiums. Slime rejected WV for the safety of those attending the games in SEC stadiums. Thanks Slime.

Vandy does have solid basketball and baseball. They also have the best academics in the SEC and a ton of $$$$. They bring more than West Virginia.

No its not. This expansion is all about money. WVU doesnt have a big TV market, but Missouri has St Louis and KC. Conferences will no longer be aligned by geographical regions...so having Mizz makes monetary sense.

i definitely would rather west virginia to missouri. sec west additions of missour and a&m and a subtraction of auburn is not a good trade off for us. not even a little.

So plain as the nose on our faces. Except the bean counters and networks don't understand this at all. They have no souls. They just count, they don't know why they have beans to count. They just count. And the networks believe the popularity of college f'ball is because of what happens on the little screens at home. The ones who really get rich? They're the ones who sell advertising. But if college football dies, the whole house of cards and beans collapses.
