How many times has LSU won the CWS in the last 10 years? When is the last time A&M won the CWS?

I agree that this was about money, but not tv contract money. Our VP of Marketing Jason Cook was on texags radio and said that first and foremost we were leaving to improve our brand. He said that around the country there is a lot of confusion about us, even said we were often confused with tech. Not sure how, but if he said it I'll believe him.
The SEC immediately raises our profile and improves our brand. A&M is better off because of the SEC. I hope we return the favor in the form of increased tv payouts because I realize the SEC changes with our addition.
Jason Cook mapped out the reasons we left
1. Brand (money)
2. Stability
3. Monet (tv money)

Congrats on the '09 NT, I'll give you props there. My point wasn't to rag on LSU, as I don't post here for that, but to refute your claim that A&M "will never be equal in the SEC". We still have work to do on the football field, but we bring an extremely strong athletic department as a whole. If you would stop your baseless flaming, perhaps we could have a more constructive conversation.

We haven't...yet. Still, within the last 2 yrs A&M has been the better team and the better AD. Again, the point is we walk into the SEC as it's 2nd best Athletic Dept, so to say we will "never be equal" is beyond asinine.

Which is somewhat true, except all those sports that don't matter do because with Title IX, without those women's sports, you lose the men's sports. And vice versa is true, without football money, you can't fund the other sports.

Football (top25), basketball (top30), and baseball (top10) all feature in that ranking. How did LSU do in basketball the last 2 yrs? Of the top 3 sports you only did better than us in Football last season and didn't make the tourny in either bball or baseball.
