but all the noise out of Austin makes it seem like you guys are Brian Kelly and the rest of the Big12-2-1 are that sophmore receiver

Again, Dr. Drunkenstein, please leave OUR board.
FUTEXAS started all of this crap with THEIR ARROGANT WAYS...it is finally catching with you sip BASTARDS after years of thinking you are mightier than all.
If BEVO had nuts, he'd join the SEC!!!

The big ten won't accept Texas unless it gives up its Longhorn Network and agrees to equal sharing of tv revenue. The big ten would gladly take Texas, but as an equal partner.

Funniest possible scenario. OU and okie st leave to pac and the Texas legislature keeps A&m and UT in the shite 12
Posted on 9/4/11 at 5:41 pm to LSU1860
Not sure what will happen as far as the horns going to pac or whatever, but A&M is gone and nothing will stop that.

Posting on another board said Dan Branch, the legislator who called the initial meeting then canceled, was just spotted sitting with Dr. Loftin.
His home district contains SMU, so it makes sense why he would be there.

Drunkenstein, all this tells me is that there are influential people in Texas think that the idea of UT playing in the Pac-12+ is unsavory...

Our President is a Cal guy who has a hard on for having Texas in a conference with Cal & Stanford. Our AD is rumored to like the Big 10.

I still thin they would find a way to work in the LHN to get the TVs in Texas.

That would be surreal.

It isn't a Pac 12 specific thing. The politicians had been convinced that Tech and Baylor were safe because the Big 12 was going to be salvaged. If it looks like the Big 12 will tank, A&M to the SEC and Texas to the Big 10 leaves Tech and Baylor in a crap conference and they'll take a serious $ hit.
This is going to be an interesting week.

I frickin HATE Texas. It's ok for them to look out for their best interests but noone else in the Big 12-2-1 can. Nebraska, Colorado and aTm bolt, now OU is considering whats best for them and you frickups are whining. Go frickin independent and frick off. I wish every frickin school would boycott playing your arse. Go to your own board with your lame excuses...we dont want to hear your whining here. It's everyones fault but Texas' You are the typical Texas moron....just leave...
Posted on 9/4/11 at 9:10 pm to Dr Drunkenstein
I think the funniest thing would be either the Pac 12 or Big 10 accepting Texas on the condition that they have to divide up all revenue they receive from ESPN equally among the conference members.

I generally agree w/ Drunk. The sports radio hacks only talk about A&M and Texas in some kind of big brother/little brother scenario, but the real hangup is the fate of the smaller schools. Aggies and Whorns would be fine going their separate ways.

Once again. Posting shite about fricking Chip Brown. Its just propaganda and scare tactics. Texas is scrambling.
Remember all the shite about Dan Branch and the higher education meeting? That never took place and if it did, it never mattered. Nothing or nobody will get in the way of this process. What do you seriously gain by running to a fricking LSU board to post something about "aggy". The butthurt seems really strong.

You half wit. Texas destroyed the Big 12 with their "sickening arrogance" (per Richard Justice, the Chronicle reporter) and their greed.

The dumb frick is so dumb that he doesnt even realize just how frickin dumb he sounds. He's the typical Texas fan laying blame on everyone else when it's his own Texas who blew up the conference. frick him, frick them...he's more obsessed with aTm than he is with Texas...his posts prove it....he needs to just go back to orangeblood and wallow in their own misery...

Was really surprising when I saw Branch at the game tonight with Loftin. Maybe good things in the future.

I don't think Texas intends to join the Pac-12, Big-10, or any conference where they would have a lesser chance of winning a conference title. I don't see Oklahoma doing it either. Most of the college football world already knows what Texas and OU want. Why all the political games?
Just add Houston, SMU, etc. and get on with it. From what I understand, SMU wants to join. I thought BYU was a possibility. If Texas succeeds in running off OU and Missouri, replace 'em with North Texas.

It's about the same mentality as when the Arkansas legislature tried to ban the sales (without warning) of any/all rock 'n' roll records encoded with backward masked hidden messages from the devil. It just sets a new benchmark for stupid. No, I'm not kidding.

Why is Texas scrambling? Texas can go Pac 16, Big 10 or go Indy. Texas is fine.

The meeting was postponed after the SEC said they were standing pat. It was never rescheduled because the politicians were told that Baylor was safe because the Big 12 would survive. Things are changing.....

Wow.....look, like I have always posted, I want A&M to the SEC so our 2 schools can be permanently separated. It is best for both of us. The politicians getting involved screws Texas just as much as A&M. I've had a lot of conversations over many months with various aggie posters here about whether or not state politicians would get heavily involved. The idea that it looks like they might now get involved was the genesis behind this thread. Does this make me 'butthurt'? You seem to be awfully offended by conference expansion talk on the conference expansion board.

Justice is a Texas-ex who began beating the "Texas is evil" drum louder than anyone. He wrote negative column after negative column and once he got the aggies all lathered up, he started delaying their appearance on the web a couple of days so that aggies would have to buy the Chron to see his latest diatribe - and it worked. This is very good business for him.

EVERYONE says OU is locked & loaded for the Pac.
