Why would any network pay more for a tv deal, considering there would be 2 less teams, and the marquee team would have its own network? Also, the deal would allow other teams to start their own networks. Makes no sense.

sad,, the aggies will always be obsessed with the Horns and Texas barely notices

That's probably the most ill-informed comment I've read on this board yet. We're trying to go wherever is best for A&M, Texas and Dodds have been apoplectic at the thought of us gaining independence. It's hilarious how quickly their talking points (as issued from OrangeBloods) have changed so quickly from "we'll consider taking A&M to the BigTen with us," to "we're taking A&M to the Pac with us," to "we'll never play you again in any sport if you go to the SEC without us," to "Hey now, why don't we just keep the band together guys? We're too good together, we just need a new bassist and drummer!" bullshite.

Glad to see at least one Big XII team overcoming the Texas-induced "Stockholm Syndrome".

quote:

Stockholm syndrome is a term used to describe a paradoxical psychological phenomenon wherein hostages express adulation and have positive feelings towards their captors

Stockholm Syndrome

Some of those universities having taken crap from Texas so long they believe that's all they deserve.
