Markets? You're not going to convince me that a West Virginia game will draw a larger national audience than FSU. And until that committee meets and cements themselves in the ACC, I'm holding out hope and don't want us to "settle" with some other team.

WVU would rank last in the SEC in Academic rankings even worse than MSU by 7 spots.

actually doc he is right according to the new rankings.

and to others yeah more would watch fsu but the real money is in a sec network like the b1g and fsu does nothing but take away money in that regard. only new population bases help that.

fsu or wvu would be fine if va tech came also but that is doubtful. otherwise wvu is the better grab.

fsu brings zero more then wvu in the grand scheme of things. maybe even less when you look at future potential earnings for a full fledged network.

FSU bring national tv sets something that everybody wants. When FSU is playing FL,tenn,UGA,bama,aub,a/m,and whoever from the SEC it could be a national team. JMO

If Oklahoma and Oklahoma State leave the Big 12 and the conference collapses, the SEC would target Missouri, which would give the league a 14th school and allow it to use two seven-team divisions in football. At the moment, West Virginia is not an option for the SEC.

Me either. I want FSU. Think of the atmosphere for a FSU/LSU game.

That's why I said in another post the SEC is waiting to see what the Pac 12 is going to do. If the Pac 12 takes Texas, TT, OU and OSU then the SEC will go after Mizzou before the BIG gets them. That's why there's no answer on West Virginia even if they submitted papers. Mizzou said they're waiting to see if the Big 12 stay together or not before they try to go to another conference.
