just makes no sense. mediocre programs that add nothing and just create more mouths to feed
the SEC just needs to renegotiate with its 12 teams and wait for the big12/big east to implode

may not have much of a choice.

im not in love with any of our expansion options but it sorta is what it is.

I agree. If you can't get Florida State, then just don't expand.

hasn't happened yet. likely only 1 implodes, and Texas will end up at the other one

we arent, necessarily. slive has said that they are making schedules for 13 teams now. i have a feeling we wait and get a 14th once the best possible option comes available

Who would u take from the Big East/12 (not incl. OK & Texas)

I have a hard time believing Texas will end up in either the Big 12 or Big East after this is all said and done.

not stoked about either as well, but if Slive's precondition about accepting new members is this footprint thing, who else you got?

why are we not including OU?
OSU maybe
TCU
I also don't know why we don't think about adding teams like Houston, Rice, or SMU
i mean if we're looking at fricking Missouri, then quality of football program is irrelevant

the Big East is talking to all the Big12 teams who might get left out, which would save them (and kill the Big12)

well then it's independent (which i don't think they want to do)

So we should think about Houston or Rice and not WVU? What sense does that make?
Posted on 9/17/11 at 4:59 pm to SlowFlowPro
TCU is the team that gets fricked in all of this. I bet the Big XII comes after them hard since the Big East might go away.

none of which will replace Syracuse or Pitt
and no way WV wants to stay in that conference.. and I doubt they're alone

ACC is strong possibility
Pac is still in the mix
Have no idea about B1G
Most of the recent rumors have involved Texas going independent in football and ACC in all other sports

It's definitely slim pickings.
I'd prefer TCU to WVU. I like Mizzou, but they seem to fit better in the Big 10.
