sounds like there won't be many NU-Texas out of conference games in the near future.

Suppose that the SEC adds Texas A & M. Who would be added in the East to balance the divisions. Va Tech??

In all fairness, Nebraska has always been sore b/c they used to be the conf bully and just got replaced by another bully. Osborne has never forgiven UT for taking away his precious partial qualifiers and over the past few years, more and more Big 12 schools have come to their senses and just stopped voting the party line (i.e., going along with Big Red). I hate Texas as much as anyone here but the Huskers aren't exactly innocents in this whole thing.
Good post.
Osbourne is stuck in the mid '90's as far as NU's importance. The Big12 voted down his partial qualifiers by a large margin and voted 11-1 to host the championship game at Jerry World. He didn't want schools to keep any "bonus money" for accomplishments. In all conference matters, he's the odd man out.

Michigan and OSU rule that conferences politics. . .and that is not going to change.
