This comes from Pat Forde:

"Nobody is looking out for the common good. Nobody is in charge. Those with the most juice are exerting it solely on their own behalf, with disregard for all that is unique in college sports: tradition, geographic sense, nonrevenue sports, collegiality, regional flavor."

I wish there was on overall governing body that had some power, unlike the NCAA. I agree that nobody is looking out for the common good that is college football.

And you think the NCAA (or something like it) gets to decide what the common good is? Or that they are capable of it and inclined to fairness? I guess you also think a super-sized federal government is the only entity that can determine in life what is good for you and what isn't?

I don't know if any entity could, I just know that nobody is.

There is a lot NOT to like about the super conference idea of expansion but one MASSIVE positive is telling the NCAA to piss off. There are few organizations I despise more than the self righteous, corrupt, unfair, and hypocritical NCAA. This round of expansions could lead to many major programs leaving the NCAA (at least in so far as football is concerned) and that's a beautiful thing IMHO.
