Big 12 side of the conference:

Ark
Mizzou
A&M

while losing possible annual games against Auburn (can't miss game going back to the Dinardo days) and Florida

Mizzou, if they join, would likely go to the East IMO.

Arkansas was never in the Big 12 and has never been in a conference with Mizzou. So if you want to call it the SWC + Big 8 side of the conference it would be more appropriate.

Easiest is Mizzou to the East and an Annual with Arkie...

TAMU and USC then become permanent rivals...

LSU and Auburn were never traditional foes. We rarely played Auburn before we had divisions in 1992. We have played Florida every year since 1971. However, the last 15 years or so, LSU-Auburn has become a must-watch game. While these rivalries would be missed, we could develop one with Texas A&M that could rival either Florida or Auburn over time.

Permanent opponents from the other division are going to go away and if we go to 16 teams, we're going to a pod system anyway.

Or if you prefer, the SWC/Big 8 side. Regardless, your point is well-made. I agree, I want LSU to be in with traditional SEC powers, not SEC newbies. The West will be a weaker division by a mile if the two Alabama teams migrate East. I'd rather see the SEC simply shake the box and try to balance the tradition/power side of the equation without geographic considerations.

Man how I remember the days when LSU sucked in the 80s and 90s.

B1G says hi.

That's some shitty division there. I like geographical, makes it Much easier to figure out who's who. That random thing B1G has going on and what you're suggesting just don't appeal to me.

uhhh...I'm pretty damn sure I'd love to lose annual matches with Auburn and FL and replace them with Mizz and Texas JV

We didn't play them for 26 straight years, from 1943 thru 1968. Before 43 we played them in Birmingham. Apparently we didn't want to play them at Shrug Jordan, or whatever it was called back them.

If we get the two new teams and loose AU I will be disappointed. It is always a great game and I feel so good when we beat those bastards.

true and we are clearly the superior program to A&M now and will remain so. Mizz and A&M will be significantly easier on the schedule every year than Auburn and UF.

All I know is the A&M-LSU rivalry could become almost as big as LSU-Bama.
