"I think it will be hard to schedule that game"

Per Brent's (Zimmerman) twitter

Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle tweeted a different take "DeLoss Dodds confirms Texas is afraid to play A&M"

The most amazing thing in this whole process to me is the pettiness exhibited by Texas.

The claim the LHN is only doing what's best for Texas. Objections to it are met with, everyone else would do the same, or they are just jealous, we did nothing wrong etc.

But A&M wants to go out and do what's best for them and suddendly that's no good.

I really don't see how it would be hard for them to schedule the game, especially if the Big 12 only goes to 10 teams.

It would be much harder on A&M to set it up IMO.

They are a bunch of arrogant divas over there in Austin. They truly believe it is a privilege for other teams to play them. Didn't they already back out of the series in 1912 because we were beating them so badly year in and year out? They also demanded that we only play at their place. Wouldn't it be funny is the second time they backed out of the series was exactly 100 years after the first time they p*ssed out???

Georgia/Ga Tech
CU/CSU
Florida/FSU

It's easy to play a non-conference in state rival annually. Our series with them goes back to 1894. It defines Thanksgiving in Texas. But hey, if they are that petty, there is nothing I can do.

That having been said, I would take anything that Richard Justice writes with a grain of salt.

A&M leaving is a great thing.

Texas is understandably frustrated with A&M.....A&M votes for the conference method of revenue sharing and for schools to control their own 3rd tier rights and then bitches about what they voted for. A&M's hypocrisy is the issue.

We have our rivalry game that really matters.

to you maybe, but the powers that be in Austin have ben opposed to them leaving from the get go and have tried to stop it, hiding behind their Waco lap dog of course.

just because they voted for it, doesn't mean they thought it was best. What were they supposed to do. vote against it and then what? Have to accept whatever UT felt like offering.

at least 5 schools have shown interest in or have left a conference with UT, but of course nothing is ever UT's fault.

As I stated before, just because something is allowed does not mean it cannot be abused.

Also, as I stated, A&M is leaving because the conference is second rate.

Now, you can try and spin Dodd's statement into "he's frustrated", but its painfully clear to everyone that its purely do to pettiness. Good luck trying to convince the masses otherwise.

haha...so that's what the information police are feeding you guys???

is there a link that we voted for that? the only thing i have seen was in regards to a verbal vote being taken in person by all big 12 presidents and AD's over a yr ago. Three schools voted that they were not happy with the state of the big 12. Nebraska, Colorado...Texa$$$??? (Youre the ones who tried to bolt to the Pac-10 first). A&M's president said that he supported the Big 12 "as it currently is" (with Nebraska and Colorado). A lot has changed since then but not surprised that the texas lemmings try to spin this back on us.

Drunk you are hysterical.

have fun with your home schedule of Wyoming, New Mexico, Baylor, Iowa St, and Mizzou.

I'm sure the local businesses are just going to LOVE that you are dumping a game that would bring in more A&M fans to Austin than all of those games combined.

texas ALWAYS wins...even when they lose. haha true delusion. most of my texas buddies truly believe that BYU is a great replacement for A&M...one of them thinks its an upgrade!

I can see why LSU fans want out of the season-ending Arkansas game. Not going so well for you lately.
