Weren't the Big 12 schools headed to the Pac and the deal was "imminent"

If this is true, there goes the whole "academics" argument. I'm not faulting UT for being a smart negotiator and holding out for the biggest payday (though at some point you go from being a tough neotiator to a whore--isn't it "pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered"?). Just don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining with this Pac-10 academics crap anymore.

Guess that "academics are SO important" argument was the load of crap smokescreen lots of us said it was.
