Look. LSU is right next door. Arky isn't that far. The SEC can right now recruit in texas and does grab many players.

I do not think anything would change.

I do not think UT is afraid of the SEC.

And sorry, UT fans are no more arrogant than LSU, UF, UA or OU fans.

I don't know if Texas would be "exposed' in the SEC. But they don't roll through putting up 40+ against everyone in the conference like they do every year in the big 12. There's a chance they could lose 3 games a year, just like every other powerhouse school in the sec. That's just the way it is.

exactly and they have years where they lose 2 3 in the big 12 as it is

The 2005 Texas team was better than any SEC team that year, UGA won the SEC and lost in the Ga Dome to WVU in the Sugar Bowl.

How has that "SEC Mindset" worked out for OM, MSU, Vandy, Kentucky, SC, and Ark?

Those programs do not have the resources Texas A&M does. Could any of them sell out an 80K+ seat stadium? Are any of them in East Texas, an hour's drive from Harris County, one of the top 3-4 counties for recruiting talent?

If ya'll dont think Texas is somewhat worried about playing the SEC schedule then your crazy. Just because they could lose atleast 3 or more and have some close scores on the others would impact their image greatly. They would still be able to recruit well in Texas, but the first couple of years it would be a low blow to their ego!!!!!!!!!! Look how close Al. and Fl. were played this year being the top 2 teams from the SEC this last year. And Texas already loses top recruits to the SEC " Russell Shepard " But they will stand to lose more if A&M " a tradition rich $chool " comes over.. And how will the game times work if they go west for primetime viewing? That won't hurt their fanbase more. Can you imagine how many people would watch Texas games the first year of the SEC schedule.
