I hate Texas, but this was about money.

They got more money AND an easier road.

What school would NOT take that deal ?

Every school in the SEC would NOT take that deal.

The fans deserve top competition, nobody respects a set up. Texas has played a weak arse schedule forever and now its even weaker.

No respect for them, sorry.

Easy road may be nice for the short term, but no long term challenge and growth either. No growth and you end up being just a big fish in a small pond.

If OU were to jump to SEC or anywhere else, Texas would be toast.

Which is what UT is now. And it works out pretty well for them.

One day they will learn everything isn't bigger in Texas.

Any school in Texas situation would have done the same thing.

I am not saying I respect them. I hate Texas, but I understand why they did what they did.

the Big 12 is going to be even MORE boring and lopsided of a fricking conference than it already was. Texas or Oklahoma every year. and because of the distribution of revenues the rich get richer and no other schools have an easy path to build up their programs.
