OK, in the spirit of what I believe will soon come to pass, I've got to admit that I would love to renew the LSU game ever year. When I first got to College Station, I was amazed at the way the RV's would show up the week before the game, and all the fricking LSU retards would talk shite for the whole damn week.
I can't wait for the day that we can start that up again. Yes, we will always have that experience with the texas game, but it would be nice to have a real game day experience during the regular season.
A lot of you swamp frickers seem to forget that everyone has ups and downs. You've had them, the bammers have had them (we stole their damn coach not too long ago. Too bad it end up being a complete cluster frick that kept us stuck in the desert like the Israelites), Auburn has been there, Tennessee, Florida...everyone that is at the top right now has been at the bottom. You need to get it through your heads that it is our time. We are going to storm Mt. Hirabachi. Let us in your damn conference, and see what happens.
This is what I've been waiting for. The chance to talk shite with some worthy opponents.

Shouldn't you try beating the "non-worthy" opponents first before coming here and talking shite?
I mean when was the last time you played for your conference's title?
When was the last time you beat a SEC team?

1st up on the pain train is the piggies.
We'll see what happens after that.

I just made a thread asking about this, wasn't sure what people mean saying LSU owed A&M money. How much exactly?
There was a Million dollar buy out to break the contract without cause, but LSU says it broke the contract because of the '92 conference expansion which gave it cause...thus owing no money to aTm.
I was in school during the Hallman days and I hated the fact that aTm would beat us the first game of (what seemed like at the time) every season and we knew that it was over.
So I was glad to see us give the bird to aTm. Now aTm is doing the same thing to their conference (taking their ball and running home as they put it back in the 90's when we did it to them) and think it's not the same thing.
Well I hate aTm...I think they are a rival because of that humiliating streak I went through when in school...would welcome them to the SEC...but would be the first to say Go frick Yourself.

Magnum, glad you're back!
Get ready to get that same feeling again as when you were an undergrad...come to Texas, we go there, it won't matter. We'll kick your tail 3 out of 4 years, and then you'll really be pissed we got back on the radar!!

When is this going to happen?
Lulz at the delusional aggie fans who think they will be instantly dominate in the SEC.

I'm just curious, but what is game week like on the different Big 9 boards historically during the year? What teams talk smack and back it up by traveling well? I would like to know if you can provide any feedback.

Well if this happens I will be pulling for LSU to leave the SEC and break its contract...

Sips, Tech and OU have the most activity naturally and are the only ones left who really travel well. Nebraska traveled EXTREMELY well. Unbelievable fans that would show up in droves to College Station despite many not living nearby, unfortunately they're gone.
Those who don't live in Texas and aren't familiar with them probably don't know, but Tech's support for their team is probably only surpassed by their hostility towards us. I know the SEC has hostile fans around the entire conference, but if you aren't constantly pegging us with d-cell batteries, you won't match what happens in Lubbock (that isn't a challenge)

For a lot of reasons, I'm never going to have the genuine hate or disdain for LSU that I have for Tejas. When I was going through the college application process, LSU was higher on my list of choices than Texas. I look forward to gamedays in Baton Rouge; I go to DKR stadium in Austin simply hoping to win.
It's different.
But I think LSU will be a better rivalry in a lot of ways. Has something to do with so many of us being coworkers and neighbors in the energy corridor. I hope we get to play home & home, but if the rumor of us playing at Reliant Stadium in Houston is true, we'll put the Houston Texans tailgate party to shame.

You live in The Woodlands or College Station?

From The Woodlands, currently live in CS. I assume you interact with plenty of Aggies given your locale.

I can't get away from them!
It seems like there is an even number of LSU, Aggie and Horn fans on my street and surrounding neighborhoods. Everyone gets a long great and I have no problem with Aggie during the off season.
I can't explain it, but of my neighbors, I think the Horn fans are more like LSU fans than the Aggies are. The Aggies just do strange things on game days that make the LSU and Horn fans look at each other and say WTF?
Like I said...I can't explain it and don't know what it is, but Aggie is a strange bird.

I have to admit that I was wrong during the great "who was a worse coach...Jack Crowe or Curley Hallman" debates. I had thought Crowe was worse, but little did I know at the time.
The 1992 season should be a reminder to us all. That had to be one the worst years for both Arkansas and LSU in at least FIFTY...I say FIFTY years, maybe more. Point is, we both had 2 wins going into the final game with y'all and Jack's team beat Curley's, 30-6.
My condolences to LSU for having to put up with that mess for 2 more years.

The prominence of the energy industry, especially in The Woodlands area and Houston, would help make a possible A&M-LSU conference rivalry fantastic. I agree with the post above though about Texas- unless we completely stop our games with them (unlikely) LSU will probably never come close to the sips as a rival.
I would love to tailgate and talk shite with LSU fans in Baton Rouge, College Station or Houston. When I go to Austin for a game, I never have that intention. The past few days have only made it more intense.
