Unless they add Bama or LSU in baseball the ACC can forget about being the premier conference in it

I think the only way you "take down the SEC" is win consecutive NCG's

Teams have tried and failed....

Since 1992 the following conferences have a National Championship

SEC=8 and the last 4

Little 12 = 5

ACC=3

Pac 10=1 USC loses it, 13-0 Auburn got ripped off!

Big 10=1

If it ain't Bama in 2010 it'll be another re-fueled SEC team!

The ACC is at the advantage of being able to go the network of their choice first in the post-super-conference era of college football among the two

The entire article is turrible, but his entire premise rests on this basic statement which is false.

If the SEC adds teams, they can then re-negotiate there TV deal.

what are the total number of national championships in all sports for the SEC compared to the other conferences since 1990. i use 1990 because LSU and UGA have nc's in baseball in 1990 and 1991.

This moron actually thinks SEC schools would leave the SEC for the ACC?

I love when people make arbitrary cut offs to boast their claim.

If you to 1990, 20 years, you add titles to the Big 12, ACC, and Pac 10
quote:

Big 10=1

Oh and Michigan and Ohio State have NC's since 1992 and if Auburn got ripped off, so did 1994 Penn State.

While all those titles are great and something to brag about, they mean jack shite when it comes to big money TV deals. That guy's proposal for the ACC may be unlikely, but its bold and out of the box thinking just like all these other proposals.

Out of the past 10 BCS football seasons. The SEC has 5 titles in football. That is 5 out of 10. No way in hell is the SEC not the most dominate conference.

And I know no one cares much about women's athletics, but the SEC has dominated there as well. I know it doesn't generate revenues like the men's sports but they win titles and have class act coaches and graduate the athletes.

Let's go back to 1990 then. 20 years is sufficient

1990: Colorado (Big 8) and Georgia Tech (ACC)

1991: Miami (Big East) and Washington (Pac-10)

1992: Alabama (SEC)

1993: Florida State (ACC)

1994: Nebraska (Big 8)

1995: Nebraska (Big 8)

1996: Florida (SEC)

1997: Michigan (Big Ten) and Nebraska (Big 12)

1998: Tennessee (SEC)

1999: Florida State (ACC)

2000: Oklahoma (Big 12)

2001: Miami (Big East)

2002: Ohio State (Big Ten

2003: LSU (SEC) and USC (Pac-10)

2004: USC (Pac-10)

2005: Texas (Big 12)

2006: Florida (SEC)

2007: LSU (SEC)

2008: Florida (SEC)

2009: Alabama (SEC)

ACC - 3

Big 8 - 3

Big 12 - 3

Big East - 2

Big Ten - 2

Pac-10 - 3

SEC - 8
