Well considering LSU's largest alumni concentration is right here in Houston that makes it appealing for lots of tiger fans also. Easy drive to CS.

While I'd love to see the SEC get a North Carolina team (especially UNC or even NC State), the North Carolina schools are going to be the hardest to break up.

I actually think Virginia Tech makes the most sense. They compliment A&M beautifully and they're a football first program that is decent in other sports as well. They have a strong alumni base and open up much of the Virginia (Richmond, Tidewater region) and even a bit of the Northern Va/DC market media market as well.

Add these 2 and stop at 14 because you don't HAVE to have 16 teams for a "super conference" imho. 14 teams allows the SEC to keep all traditional rivals intact. All league teams simply lose 1 non-conference game each year. The schedules and divisions turn into a huge clusterfrick with 16 teams.
