Probably about the same percentage as people who GAF about Mizzou in St Louis/KC. Not very many.

Clemson has shown abilities to recruit in the past and coming to the SEC would improve that.

Their recruiting can't get much better. They consistently get 5* players, but they can't even win the ACC. That said, I wouldn't mind Clemson coming.

just got online so.....

My opinions because u all care:

FSU to the west, Clemson to the East. Both these teams are geographically in the SE and are waaay better programs than Mizzou/aTm

aTm and Mizzou can GTFO

Actually, the response on this forum is exactly what I expected. Which will make our experience in the SEC so much better if we receive an invite.

You won't, but even if you did, the reports are that Mizzou is not interested anyways.

You know, unfortunately for Mizzou our AD would probably screw an opportunity to join the SEC.

Question for Hog Fans in the know:

What about our non con series with the retard horns? does it get moved from jerry's world? do we now need to find another yearly OOC opponent? do we need to pick a different state to target with our next big ooc opponent to help recruiting?

I am not in the know. I assume the series will stay put in Dallas. I'd rather it go home and home.

But I believe with the ticket prices they get, it will stay there. Its a nice showcase event and a big money-maker.

I also believe the SEC will like having it there because it will become a way to showcase the SEC in the DFW market.

you gotta figure we're going to be going to a 9-game conference schedule so i'd guess we won't pick up a new annual ooc opponent

edit: on the other hand texas and ex-big 12 members who fall to some mountain west-level conference might be looking for someone to play

I guess we do still owe texas a game. I actually would like to change things up a little and take some random opponents from other conferences. I would really like some pac 10 revenge.

They constantly get 5 star players with 1 star coaching.

The money and SEC will make it more attractive for a Coach worth a Damn, not a WR coach/Recruiting Director.

shite if We can get to the success we are at now, Clemson could too. And they generally recruit better in the State of Florida than we do.

Eleven of the 12 Southeastern Conference presidents will meet Sunday at a secret location to discuss the admission of Texas A&M to the league, according to a high-ranking SEC official with first-hand knowledge of the talks.
My thoughts:
round & round it goes where will it stop. No one knows.

Am I the only one who doesn't want these weird frickers in the league? USCe has to be terrified of the thought of Clemson joining...

Agreed. Or if it must be that the SEC expands, aTm and GA Tech or Clemson would lend balance to east/west geographics. I'd rather GA Tech - b/c we need no more Tigers in the SEC (also why I'd as soon decline on Mizzou)...

Ya Im not terrified, as in the end it gives our Rivalry more reason (okay ya state pride and recruiting, but face it last year I was not nearly as WE MUST WIN OR SEASON IS A FAILURE on the game as I normally am)

But Also not totally in favor as it simply puts them back on the same level as us. Gamecock fans that tell you else are just unintelligent.

We compete yearly for the Same Recruits. They always have a good class.

Their coaching is the problem. SEC Money and the SEC as a name makes them a lot more attractive to go out and spend on a new coach not Dabo. (he sucks)
