University of Houston- Gonna be one of those names

TCU has already joined the Big East. I think Kansas and K State will look to the BIg East. If the SEC will not take both Choklahoma and Okie St, I think that they look toward the PAC 12 or whatever they call it now. Baylor and Tx Tech look to PAC 12 also. Texas- Independent. Boise State- Don't give a damn where Bucky and the Broncos wind up.
I completely forgot about TCU joining the Big East (however long that conference stays relevant). Texas Tech & Baylor makes sense to the PAC 12. The only school i dont want to join the SEC is Oklahoma.

Boise State isn't ending up in the Pac-12.
Pac-12 Still values academics and I remember reading it makes sure that a new school invited has some kind of Certification. Doubt Boise has that it's a converted Junior College.

This. It's not a major research center. Unless you're researching blue artificial turf.

A post from TexAgs.com....
So is Texas pissed and is now trying to 1-up the SEC and form a superconference with all the little schools in Texas?
quote:
tu, baylor, texas tech, iowa state, kansas, kansas state, ok state, ou, mizz, smu, houston, rice, UTEP, SHSU, Texas State, and TCU will become the first superconference with a trillion dollar TV deal. Why hasn't anyone else commented on this?

I think that this will help TX A&M's recruiting.

It'll lessen the Gap.
Look at what they will have to sell now. Something new and different. The chance to play in the SEC... the nation's best conference. It will lessen the gap with Texas I think. Plus they will be out from under the Texas shadow. They just have to make sure that they can compete and are somewhat viable in the SEC.

I want to think that Texas Tech doesn't have this either. Could be wrong though.
Then again if the Pac-12 invites Texas and Texas Says we are only coming if we can bring Tech, OU and Okie Lite (Baylor is a Private school so I'd assume they're not involved) would the Pac-12 Agree.

I think they'll be at the level of Arky in the SEC. Even though playing the SEC is a selling point, playing for Texas still gets recruits too. It's just a matter of them being able to play at a high level with those recruits.

Texas A&M joining the SEC is going to be the worst. They don't belong. Their fans suck, and they're no fun.

texas might as well bring in tcu, smu, and houston. they could be in a new south division with all the other texas schools and okla lite and OU could move up north. texas and OU would be guaranteed spots in the new big 12 title game every year and a cake walk to the MNC game.

That is most certainly a joke/sarcasm. Sarcasm is Texags oxygen.

Bucky and the broncos would have about as much of chance of getting into the PAC 12 as a snowball does in hell.

I'm ashamed that happened to you. There are always some sorry mother frickers at games that don't know how to act. Hopefully some other males defended you.

Actually I am. You can party with me, I just don't want your lame-arse school joining our conference. i.e. road-trips to Bryan/College Station

Not so sure. Like the poster said above, bring in these small schools, move OU and OUlite to the north, and then Texas and Oklahoma will have a cakewalk to the NC game.
Need a playoff for football games. Make every conference have a conference title game and each of these conference winners play for the national championship game.
Eliminate the programs like ND, Texas that wants to sit out of conference title games.
Posted on 8/12/11 at 5:09 pm to AAM02
these teams that are joining better learn to play defense quick or they will get their asses handed to them early and often.
