Assuming the TV deal gets done like Larry Scott hopes CAA can negotiate.

Hate assuming but don't you think they have already had discussions about figures to see what they are dealig with before they finalized pulling the trigger?

you realize the game was sold out right?

Wrong. Husky Stadium capacity is 72,500. Max capacity has been more than 76,000 at times. See LINK In the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, we AVERAGED more than capacity, averaging anywhere from 73,000 to 74,000. Attendance for LSU was "close" to capacity at 69,131. See LINK LSU brought a LOT of people, was an exciting Pac 10/SEC line up...and was not a sell out. What does that tell you?

The fans were excited yes (about as excited as any fans of an 0-12 could be, anyway). Were they the same fans that have been with the program all the years? No. UW's administration and the Losingham fiasco lost MANY die-hard fans. They are NOW trying to get them back, and they will.

If you think UW couldn't sell out Husky Stadium with that many LSU fans coming into town in the 80s, 90s, or even early 2000s, you're nuts. The fact it was NOT a sellout despite a ton of LSU fans being there is telling...

Let me guess, you've been LSUintheNW for 9 years now...

If recent events tell us anything...look at what happened at the regional in LA! No tailgating, no BBQ's allowed and no drinking!

As a fan, where would YOU rather travel to?

I'm sure they did, but that's a long way from a signed deal.

Travel could definitely be cheaper.

The Big East 6 would continue with their status quo with the addition of 1 annual game in Arizona and 1 annual non-divisional away game with the Pac 8. Doesn't change much for them.

The Pac 8 plays the same with but the loss of one away game in Arizona but with the addition of 1 annual non-divisional away game with the Big East 6 and/or one of the Arizonas. No change there, really. (and, for example, UW already had Colorado on the schedule for 2015 & 2016 so those will now be non-divisional conference games).

ok....so you had a few thousand less than capacity, sorry. I actually have been here for a good portion of my life including 9 years in Tacoma. I know what it was like in the past and I still say your tailgate (when you were relevant) isn't as good as Oregon's now. They have 15k less capacity so what does that tell you?

Kudos though, from what I hear your tailgate is definately better than ASU and SC. I do know it is better than OSU's.

You don't even come close to an SEC tailgate. Just saying.....

Oregon has a ton of meth heads that hang out for the tailgate and who don't enter the stadium for the game. If that's your preference, so be it.

True... as would any state. The difference, you see quite a bit less of it in SEATTLE verus EUGENE/SPRINGFIELD. It's not like UW is located in Spanaway or Marysville or something....

Regardless, the comment was meant in gest (but definitely has some truth to it as well).

Right. How many did LSU bring? How could ANY fanbase be at its peak following the last 6 years or so of problems, distractions, coaching changes, the Losingham fiasco, and all of the losing... 0-12; 15 losses in a row.

You think the fans that did show put on its A-game? You think the fans there had any confidence whatsoever to boast about? Had UW gone 12-0 the year before, you think the atmosphere would have been the same? Come on... You should know better than that...

How would the expense be significantly greater or more expensive for the 6 Big East teams to play TWO away games to the Pac 10 each yeear (one Arizona school and one Pac 8 school)?

If you can explain how it would be cheaper to blend in with the SEC, you win. But you need to explain how it would be so.

yep, beacon hill, Rainier and the garfield area are lovely areas just crack though.....they don't do that meth! lol

They, like any other place has some issues. I don't think I have ever been to a game where there wasn't some trash around......
