I agree, if Texas A&M can lock up the Texas border in recruiting they will win an SEC title in 6 years or so

They won't even have to lock it down. Texas is practically its own country and has enough players for aTm, Texas, and OU to be great just like Florida, FSU, and Miami.

You seem to be coming to our side. FSU is a pretty damn good program.

in the ACC. they wouldn't have competed for any SEC titles since the resurgence of LSU, Florida, and Alabama

I see A&M being very similar to Auburn. A few really good seasons where they make a run at a title sprinkled in with a lot of average 9-3 and 8-4 seasons and the rare 6-6 and 7-5. I don't think they'll ever have a losing record.

I say 8 years for west and SEC, 8 to possibly not in the foreseeable future for the BCSNC.

eta another prediction: no one team will dominate the SEC for at least the next decade. I see LSU, UF, BAMA, A&M, and AU trading blows, each taking their turn at the top. I also predict UT and UGA making a return to prominence and Arky may even get to touch the SEC trophy for once. MSU, UK, OM, Vandy, and USCe will continue to bring up the rear.

This is getting boring. Go start another thread in the Rant about me. You know.....there is a reason they made a conference expansion board and it was not so you could link conference expansion board topics to new threads on the Rant.

I agree. They will have bad years, but when things go right, they will have the talent to win big.

LSU is a traditional powerhouse... they are #14 in all time winning percentage. I dont know where u get this idea that we weren't relevant until saban.

LSU's winning percentage was only marginally better than Texas A&M's after the 1999 season when LSU hired Saban. A&M at that point had actually just overtaken LSU in wins at 603 to 601.

He was too young to remember anything before the last decade.

explains your whole viewpoint and rationale of LSU, Auburn, A&M, and FSU. You don't know shite before 2003 other than what you've read on an LSU message board.

and guess what. the kids they are recruiting are younger than me. do u think they give a shite about anything before 2000?

my first LSU heroes were Eddie Kennison and Kevin Faulk, i guess i picked the right time to be born because i'm pretty sure it's better to be a tiger fan now than it was in the early 90s

Is Auburn in the east?

They win the SEC west within 4 years if so.

You are losing this debate with your own arguments. Exactly. Recruits are not going to care about aTm's tradition any more than they care about a Bama national title in the 20's. They will care about what aTm can give them now, which IMO is a better overall college football experience than what Texas can give them in a weak league. The best want to play the best.

Texas is UT. It's a brand name, A&M is nowhere near that. I see UT fans all over Louisiana, the only A&M fans i see are alumni

You want to address how you know what each and every recruit recruit thinks? go for it. I was addressing your argument points.

What you don't seem to understand is UT hit a homerun with the Mack Brown hire and A&M struck out with Fran. Fran actually killed A&M worse than Hallman did LSU.

the only reason LSU got out of our hole was because we could lock up Louisiana recruiting and recover. A&M doesn't have that luxury

Are you suggesting the state of Texas doesn't supply enough D1 blue chippers for A&M to compete?
