UT will always dominate recruiting in the state of Texas. Just because the ags are in the SEC now doesn't mean that everyone suddenly forgot about how weird they are and their inferiority complex with Texas.
Do you think from the mid 80s to mid 90s when A&M beat Texas 10 out of 11 years that Texas was getting the better players? Or are you too young and shortsighted?

National and statewide perception? I doubt 18-year-old recruits give a damn about these things. What's the saying, haters gonna hate anyway? You think Colorado left because of TEXAS? That's not what their president says. Affiliating with the West Coast was in their best interests. Been to Colorado lately? Full of Californians. They recruit California like mad. Nebraska? They might say they left to hide under the Big 10's skirt because of unequal revenue sharing, but the biggest proponent of unequal revenue sharing from day one in the Big 12 was ... Nebraska. They even planned to start their own network. The Mothershuckers are lying though their teeth. Oklahoma planned to unveil their own network in August, but that fell through because they learned the hard way that it wasn't feasible in a state that's smaller than the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area alone. The more this goes on, the more A&M looks like the yipping Chihuahua, saying, "Look at me! Look at me!" Yes, to answer the OP, Texas will refuse to play the Aggies as punishment. The funniest thing about all this is that when the Texas Legislature had rumblings of hearings to stop the Aggies from going to the SEC, the Aggies squalled like babies. Now, two Aggie legislators intend to file legislation to force Texas to play the Aggies. Talk about hypocrisy.
Holy shite this guy loves the smell of his owns farts

Good point. Mario Edwards' dad went to FSU so he's just carrying on the "family tradition".

In ten years when A&M is dominating the instate recruiting; the Texas Admin will be look back to this moment and see the value of sharing revenue and playing quality opponents.
A high percentage of elite high school prospects want to play on the biggest stages against the best competition. Aggies will quickly start seeing those benefits.

Yeah. Nothing compares to the cultural mecca that is Hipster Heaven, Tx (Austin).
Who would want to play in College Station, Auburn, T-Town, Athens, Columbia, etc

For the thousandth time, Texas A&M voted for unequal revenue sharing throughout their stint in the Big 12, and pocketed more cash as a result.
Why, oh why, is this so hard to understand?
And don't give me that crap about the SEC having completely equal revenue sharing; it does not! Tier 3 rights are NOT shared.
