The Aggies may not have much time. Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott was en route from Colorado to the states of Texas and Oklahoma with invitations in hand, a source familiar with the process confirmed. If the Aggies cannot commit, the Pac-10 is prepared to invite Kansas and its great basketball tradition. While the Jayhawks are desperate to find a landing spot, they would have to leave in-state rival Kansas State, a potential political problem.

So, what the hell is the "Pac" in "Pac 10" going to stand for now? Because, adding Kansas - it sure as hell won't be "pacific" any longer.

Since they have no regard for geography apparently, why don't they invite Notre Dame?

If they could lure LSU into that conference they could change the name to the Louisiana Purchase Conference

That article mentions $20 million/school which more than doubles everybody's TV revenue. It would happen too with all of the major markets that they would take over. Basically every TV set west of the Mississippi.

I know, right?

You know who all this really screws?

Athletes in ALL the sports but football.

Basketball players who have to travel from Austin to Washington state for a Thursday night game and be back for a weekend game.

Baseball players who have to travel 1,000+ miles for a three game series and get back and still have to be in class on Monday.

What about support staff costs? Bringing the band, cheerleaders, etc.

And that would be the total truth! Wish I would have come up with that!

Maybe Stanford could split up that $17 billion endowment and hook their new conference partners up with private jets.

Wonder how much it cost for Hawaii to go all the way to Louisiana Tech every 2 years?

That's what's stopping KU. Heard there's some kind of Law in KS that both KU and KSU have to be in the same conference. ESPN even mentioned it.lol.
