How anyone can be opposed to rotating cross-division opponents is beyond me. It's pretty much indisputable that the equitable way to play cross-division games is for them to rotate for everyone.
Absolutely correct. No way to spin this. Rotating cross-division games is obviously the fairest way to go.
For everyone.

LSU as a school has been extra fricking cool. Doing what is best for the SEC throughout all of this. So has Arkansas.
Yea get used to it. Bama is a royal pain in the butt. The League office really needs to move out of Birmingham.

don't forget auburn. they have been willing to go to the east if the league asked them to.
frick the alabama tennessee game. it has been a long time since that game actually meant something in the big scheme of things.
Not to mention AU/UF has been a supperior rivalry for decades and was one of the most competitive rivalries in SEC history.
quote:
Most great rivalries are marked by frequent close games, unexpected upsets, and memorable moments; the evenly-matched Auburn–Florida rivalry has provided many. Thirty-three of the eighty-two games in the series have been decided by seven or fewer points.[5] Among SEC rivalry games, the Auburn–Florida series (42–38–2) is the second-most evenly matched after the Florida–Tennessee series (21–19). Auburn has claimed two national football championships, and seven SEC championships; Florida has won three national championships, and eight SEC titles.[7][8] In terms of all-time winning percentage, less than half a percentage point separates the Tigers (.634) and the Gators (.631).[9] Several of the most notable games in the 99-year history of the rivalry are described below.

Make Missouri and Arkansas cross division rivals and move the game to the day after Thanksgiving.
Move the A&M-LSU game to that weekend.
Move Arkansas-LSU game to Fayetteville in October preferrably since it's no longer on Thanksgiving.
That would be my ideal scenario if we are going to add Mizzou.
Hell, we can even call the Arkansas-Mizzou game the "Battle of the Pant Leg" if the SEC desperately needs trophy games at the end of the year.

Why? This is one of the best games of the year.
Some people in your fanbase have developed an irrational fear of Florida. And UF isn't even that good anymore, so I don't see what all the crying is about.

Because most of the 19 year old LSU fans on this board want the easiest path to Atlanta possible and think the Florida game is a Bama/Birmingham conspiracy.

aTm fans: please disregard LSU fan opinions about Alabama. If you listen to them too much, you will bitch about Alabama/Birmingham/Slive just as much as you bitched about Texas/Dallas/Beebe. We actually have a fairly cohesive league but the LSU fans are convinced the refs are all bought off with Birmingham money.

And don't forget that Alabama is on par with Florida and LSU and that's a great place to be.
You said it yourself so it must be true.

I did say that and it is still the case. What is your point? You are a solid LSU poster by the way. Glad to see you don't want to run from the Florida game.

I can already tell Bama will be aTm's new "Texas": aka the school they blame all their problems on.
So are you saying Bama is everybody's pain in the arse for trying to be selfish at the expense of the conference?
Or are you saying you agree with what Texas has done leading up to and causing realignment?
It's one or the other or your statement doesn't hold water

None of the above. I am saying that just like Auburn, aTm fans tend to have a little brother mentality and irrationally think that the big brother school in the state causes every problem they have ever had. Don't come into this conference already blaming things on a power team. Call it selfish or anything you want but Bama and Tennessee will not be voting to send AU east. We are not starting an elephant network or anything like that, but we are voting "no" which we have every right to do.

got damn it's Alabama's vote and they can do whatever they want with it. if you don't like it go back to that shitass league you came from

Don't let the words to a 100 year old War Hymn fool you. A&M doesn't have the little brother complex people think we do.
When something is states that is untrue, we speak up. But that's as far as that goes
We were not going to accept being a 2nd class citizen in the B12 so we found a better home. Nothing little brother about that.
Luckily we had options because of our great school with great sports in large media markets. Sadly, schools like OU and oSu are stuck

You are a bit mistaken.
AU fans tend to think we are better than bama. As a university, as fans, as a program. We often look down on bama in real life, but whatever makes you feel better.

Good deal. But don't ask Tennessee to lose its biggest rivalry game to accommodate Missouri joining. If Mizzou joins, it will be on the SEC's terms and we will not inconvenience any school to accommodate them. aTm joined without disturbing anything and that is why we welcomed you with open arms. If Mizzou insists on being in the West, then they will be a Big 12-2-1+1 member until they change their mind.

I was a student at LSU from '92 to '97 so I hate the Gators something fierce. We haven't even begun to dish out enough revenge on them yet...

I don't think this comment needs a reply to prove my point. How long have you been back since your last trip to ban land?

Why do you gumps keep asking me this?
And c'mon, you know you wish you were an Aubbie. Not only would it mean you are more likely to have a college degree, it also means you got to spend your college years on a prettier campus and you would make more money in your career as well.
Not to mention you would have enjoyed more wins over your football rival for over 30 years and counting.
It would be like a win, win, win, and winning!
