Sorry, just seeing the Mizzou news. Suppose Auburn-Alabama become permanent East-West opponents, and of course we would play Mizzou & TAMU, and I hope we retain Florida as our every-year-in-the-East opponent.

Guess the St Louis and Kansas City market is enough to tear down a great LSU-Auburn rivalry. Over the last 15 years, it has without question been LSU's most interesting and eventful rivalry, so I am not pleased with that, but thems the breaks I suppose.

Mizzou is very blah to me as an addition, and I am not excited to have another team playing Tiger-related songs and having 3 Tiger mascots in the SEC, but at least now Florida and Tenn will have to play Auburn each year...

But, does this mean Tenn and Bama no longer play? If so, Bama is the winner in this whole thing from a schedule toughness perspective dropping Tenn as their Easr opponent, and giving them an easier haul with the add of TAMU and Mizzou, retention of Auburn and loss of Tenn...

Not enamored with this option at all (if I am in the hunt on this off-the-cuff assessment), as I strongly prefered adding Clemson, VaTech or WVU instead of Mizzou.

I don't think Missouri is coming. The Big 12 might stay together.

This whole realignment crap is all because of Assholes at Texas. Despite all the giddy people wanting to gobble up more teams the only schools that win here are the schools in the pac12 and texas a&m and Missouri.

SEC comes out worse. I don't see how this brings in more money or prestige to the SEC.

If this rumor is true why don't alabama and auburn both move to the east. The they can keep all the oh so valuable rivalries.

Permanent opponents in a conf. with two divisions is just stupid. Put all the rivalries in the same forking division. duh! Oh wait that would be fair and it wouldn't screw LSU or favor Alabama. Never mind, stupid me!

Missouri doesn't deserve to be in the SEC.

I don't see what Missouri brings to the table. Besides the sec doesn't need more tigers, but as we all know LSU will always be the real tigers

No. Its because the OTHER 11 teams in the old Big 12 were too weak to stand up to UT and keep them in check and on a level footing. Instead, they let UT push the conference around and become too big and assholish to tolerate, Thus, Colorado and Nebraska bolt and aTm finally can't take it anymore and they flee.

I WISH that the remaining could rein in UT and hold the conference together. aTm stays put in that conference and they take in 2 out of TCU, BYU, Louisiville, and WVU. That gets them to 12 teams. PAC 12 stays at 12. SEC stays at 12.

Life goes on.

That is my WISH. Not what I expect.

It's all about TV ratings and TAMU and Missou give you access to a top 7 and top 15 market.

We all realize why the SEC wants to grab them. I am talking about why they are available to be "grabbed" in the first place.

I think entrance into the SEC would give the Mizzou football program a big boost. It's a dormant program sitting in an area where increased excitement in the program could cause it to blow up.

IF Mizzou is added, I don't understand why you don't realign the divisions/rivalries with Mizzou in the West and a permanent rivalry with Arkansas. That would give Mizzou 4 games/yr against teams from border states.

West / East
Arkansas / Mizzou
A&M / South Carolina
Auburn / Georgia
Alabama / Tennessee
LSU / Florida
Ole Miss / Vandy/Kentucky?
MSU / Vandy/Kentucky?
