Says that A&M still very much ready to go to the SEC.
They have no time limit from the SEC and the Regents are meeting in a few hours.
The PAC-10 gave A&M a deadline on if they are going. Deadline talk was non-specific though.
Also said that ESPN is making the Big-XII-lite a very good offer to keep Fox from having a big stake in college football.
Should be up on the ESPN Baton Rouge radio vault in an hour.

Why cant the big 12 just get abc if fox is going after pac 10 tv?
i realize abc and espn are one in the same but cbs and espn get sec, fox gets pac 10, and abc gets big 12

That is exactly what Looch means. ESPN would host along with ABC. ESPN doesn't just show SEC.

That's what ESPN is trying to avoid, especially if the PAC-10 includes Texas.

if the Big 12-2 gets a deal on par with SEC-ESPN then SEC is the one getting screwed. We will be forced to expand to go back into re-negotiations and demand more money.

Yeah, Looch says that would give FOX roughly half the country, which is probably an overestimate, but still something that ABC/ESPN doesn't want.

ESPN overpaying for the Big 12 is like a developer overpaying for that last little parcel of land he needs to make his develpoment work.

We don't need to expand or get more money.
Slive can wait as long as he wants. Either we get A&M and get a new contract, or we wait 15 years and get a new contract.
Either way we will eventually get a lot of money.
Plus, this $20million that UT is talking about is their ESPN money plus their own network funds.
It would really only be around $15-16 million per a school from ESPN.

I agree, but if ESPN wants this to work, they have to keep everyone happy and match the SEC or get really close to that amount. If they don't, A&M might as well leave to get that much money.
Seems like A&M is the one with the power for once.
