Agree TX is the culprit - but when the dust settles don't be surprised to see it was ESPN pulling the strings of the puppets. Baylor, KSt, et all, have fallen into their trap.

I underestimated how bright they are. ESPN wants to control the future 4 super conferences, removed from the NCAA. First step was the LHN, pushing the first domino - dissolve the Big12 forcing the OUs to move on.

Sadly brilliant!

this is exactly what it is... if i want OU then where is the value in OSU?

You're looking at it from the eyes of a broadcasting company. From the eyes of Oklahomans, it makes a big freaking difference....which is why OU/OSU is a packaged deal.

Looks like Texas is calling a meeting, but the meeting is being held elsewhere.

then i guess yall are on the sinking ship too... if other similar schools hadn't always been in their conferences, they'd never be in them now

i'd just play them nonconference and get one into the PAC, one into the SEC

How is that different from an average season where Baylor visits College Station?

Sounds like when A&M stood up to UT, OU looked down and saw they had a pair too. Now they're making noise because even though they've known the big stinking elephant (UT) was in the room, only now do they want to stop stepping in the shite left on the floor.

Maybe OU can be given some of the conference money A&M were to receive every year. That might satisfy them and since UT would still be ripping off ESPN with LHN, all is good in the BEVO 9.

They way I see it, in college terms if you will, our friend Norman can:

a) Take home the same grenade he's been banging for a while, but who is significantly more trashy recently because his rival Austin has been having his way with her. Their friend C-Stat is able to hookup with the grenades hot roommate. All their other loser friends are happy because they don't have a ride home but the grenade will give them one.

b) Take home the much more attractive girl Norman has been hitting on for a while. She may not be as hot as C-Stat's girl, but she's willing to do more stuff and is far less annoying. Embarrassed, The grenade will most likely get way to drunk, and since she wants to drive still, will either die or most likely be never heard from again. All the loser friends will be pissed at Norman, but honestly frick them, Norman's life is better without them. C-Stat could be pissed at first, because he won't be able to get with the grenades hot roommate right away, but they both like each other and most people think it will happen anyways. Norman's possibly closet homosexual rival Austin will be castrated and turn into a hermit.

Something like that.
